[PD] [GEM] cannot handle this format (b1) !

Hi all,

I am updating my pix_externals to work with pd 0.49-1 and GEM from git:
https://github.com/umlaeute/Gem

I get the following message when I connect a video to my pix_external
(pix_mano in this case...):

[pix_mano]: cannot handle this format (b1) !

pix_video works fine without pix_mano and pix_mano is expecting a gray
image coming out of pix_grey. This worked fine before, but now crashes. I
wonder if there has been any changes that I might not be aware of?
