Weirdly enough, Pd runs both in "Run" mode and in "Edit" mode. hmm.

"Editing" means: changing the patch.
"Running" means: interacting with a patch in a way that doesn't change
it's structure.

think of it as in: you are not "editing" a number, but you are
"changing" a value.
