[PD] Watchdog: signaling pd

Hey I'm trying to open Pd through an SSH connection with Putty and I keep
getting the endless "watchdog: signaling pd..." message in the terminal.
The book I'm following says it should go away and Pd will eventually open.
How long could that be? Is there a way to fix this?
