Ok, I've found the issue! It's another Tk 8.5 bug... ttk::combobox won't 
draw the dropdown list, if the parent window is configured with 
"-topmost 1".

This has been fixed in Tk 8.6 apparantly.

It's actually pretty small, it just removes "hideOnSuspend" from the 
ttk::combobox::PopdownToplevel proc.

Don't know what's the best way to go. I just think that the button 
solution for the samplerate setting is really clunky...
