what I see it happens now is that both need to to click back on the pd
canvas window before you can click on bangs and stuff.

yeah, I wanna make my own too, that is more flexible/customizable and that
fixes issues from these other 2 compiled externals (and now I found this
new issue). Anyway, hopefully I can meet your needs :)
