[PD] .pat .mxt and .mxb files

Hi, I see Pure Data can still, to this day, open and save .pat and .mxt
files. If I get it straight, this text file format started in max v2 and
went on until v4, right? I'm looking for files in this format to check how
they look and to see if I can actually open them in Pd.

I actually tried saving a .pat file and open it in Max but couldn't do it...

Moreover, Pd Extended can open .mxb, an old binary format that I believe
got rid in MAX5 along with .pat and .mxt.  So I'm also looking for patches
saved as such to test it out in Extended.

So, any idea where I can find these?
