If you're on a mac you can just go to
https://git.iem.at/pd/pure-data/-/pipelines

look at the latest version that has finished compiling (build #8286 , third
from top).  On the "..." drop-down, you can grab "macOS:archive" which
should be an "app" with the fix in it.
