[PD] advice getting Festival output to fifo

hello all,
following up on last week's thread re:text->speech - can anyone provide
an example of how to pipe Festival's output into a fifo so it can come
back to pd via piperead~? i'm using festival_server and getting text to
festival with netsend - works fine.
