personally i am not totally convinced that the entire homepage should be
a blog.

however, i see that it might be nice to add images (and i fear the data
:-)).
there is currently no way to add images directly (afai can see).
the only way i know of is to put an image somewhere else and include it
(if you are writing html you'd use an <img> tag; if you are writing
structured text use :img:)

however, this is not what i would call _easily_, it is just an option.
