i am not saying it shouldn't be listed prominently.
however: when i look at that page (with a resolution of 1024x768 which  
i assume can be considered as "standard"), i basically _only_ see  
Pd-extended (i know that scrolling is simple, but i am talking about  
first impressions here)

even though pd-extended might prove more worthy for most of the users,  
i also think that your statistics are biased because most people will  
have the feeling that there is _only_ pd-extended (and all the rest is  
for the weird).

this would probably be less of a problem if pd-ext would be more  
uptodate in terms of the core components.
