Yes, but also making Gem compile with MSVC needs quite a lot of work. I 
tried it last year for some days but didn't succeed ...

But it would be a very important step for windows users - there was no 
GEM build for quite some years now and I don't think that it will change 
in future if it is not integrated in the autobuilds or an additional 
windows developer comes up !
