well, true if it wasn't for a positive TTL for "*.puredata.info" (which 
is how it is currently setup)

so "apt.puredata.info" has been available for ages (pointing to 
puredata.info), thus the positive (and long) TTL comes into the game.

but anyhow, this is no show stopper.
