Pd also runs as a web browser plugin, graphical data structures, and  
namespacing (tho somewhat rudamentary).

You can write Pd objects in C, C++, python, ruby, C#, and guile.

The documentation for Pd is lacking in parts, but you can learn a lot  
from the Max docs.
