yes, i forgot about that.
you could try either removing the file-eating openGL-stuff (just remove
the references to it from the makefile) or try linking with wildcards
(openGL/*.obj or the like), which might get you around the length of the
command line (i have no idea about how w32's cmd handles wildcards)

but to re-iterate my question (esp. to chris): would it be a big problem
(in terms of performance: you know more about it than me) to separate
the recorder from the snapshot into 2 objects ? it would really give
more flexibility.
