pix_mask (at least on os x and  0.91.3) does not mask the pixels completely. workaround is to use pix_takealpha instead

tried on ver: 0.93.3 compiled: Nov 10 2011 and confirm that it has been
fixed. thank you IOhannes for the os x binary release, i was waiting for
that.

further testing revealed that the issue is present in Gem 92.3 22 sept 2010
bot NOT in 0.91.3 May 30 2009! (the older version does work as expected)
screenshot, patch and mask fies are attached.

also note that 0.91 is really quite old.
