most externals (as we call "extensions") are in the cvs at pure-data.sf.net
Gem is a separate project on sf (pd-gem.sf.net), several others are not 
developed on sf at all (pdp, gridflow,...) but some of them are at least 
mirrored into the pure-data.sf-project.
