TestDrivenDevelopment

in the WikiWikiWeb: http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?TestDrivenDevelopment

in the WikiPedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_driven_development

it's the cornerstone of XP (eXtreme Programming) and PP (Pragmatic
Programmers) methodologies. Apart from being a quality assurance tool,
it's also a way to evolve a code base more quickly, which is necessary
when you want to code incrementally, design incrementally AND still not
end up with a bunch of spaghetti and kludges. That's what XP/PP teach you
to do.
