there is a binary for absattr, and the object gets created, but there is no helpfile. there is one in the svn repository that could be used.

absattr is one of Thomas Grill's flext-based externals.  No one has
integrated this into Pd-extended.  There was some binaries included in some
Pd-extended packages, but I don't have time to maintain binaries anymore. 
Anyone is welcome to get the flext stuff building as part of Pd-extended,
or just install Thomas' binaries and help patches in these locations:
