Makeing connections with mouse is awkward!

Yes, on more than one occasion I have accidently deleted connections
when trying to make multiple connections from an object.  In complex
patches this can be difficult to undo--requiring tracking down where the
connection was before it was abolished. I've learned to be more careful.
