There's a "serial" object in Pd, which opens a serial port for output only, 9600 baud only, 8 bits, no parity. It only works for Windows, not IRIX or LINUX. I wrote this to try to communicate with a device I won't identify here; we never communicated. It's possible I was sending out good RS232 though... Miller
