plugin~ object for ladspa /?/

hi

i just tried the plugin~ object for the ladspa plugins and wondered where
the object looks for the plugin libraries
i tried it with /usr/local/lib/ladspa (as described on the ladspa page)
but the library could not be found

then i wondered why pd exits when entering wrong parameters or non-
existing libraries with plugin~
