It did take forever to get working. I had to reshuffle pci cards and all 
that stuff. It seems that for some strange reason alsa-0.9 is more 
sensitive than the 0.6 CVS version was.
But it works nicely now with "-alsadev hw:0,1" for ADAT  and "-alsadev 
hw:0,0 for SPDIF.
