[PD] 2 Q's Vst~ - -asio

Hi,

I'm having a little trouble with the vst~ external. (which is great, thanks
Mark :-))
I have updated my autoexec.bat file with
 SET VST_PATH=C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\VSTPlugs;C:\Program
Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\Plugins
archive;C:\audio\Cubase5\Vstplugins\VstPlugins;C:\audio\cubase5\Vstplugins\;
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\ and updated my batch file pointing to
the new Debug/vst
All the plugins in the c:\program files\steinberg\vstplugins work fine but
the ones contained in the folder c:\audio\cubase5\vstplugins\ won't work -
the VST plugin call to host dispatcher: etc. appears on the PD screen but
then a little dialog box pops up telling me 'Sorry Flanger requires Cubase5'
which I have.

Another question I have is about ASIO in PD - what do I do to get this
working?  I have added  -asio to my PD batch file and I get the error with
the list of valid flags when PD starts up.  Do i have to put the asio driver
files into the pd folder, if so where? if this has been discussed elsewhere,
sorry, just link me.

I am using PD 0.35-test 15 on MSW98
