Hi,
does the xgroove~ object show up as a message box?
This is a strange error that i sometimes encounter, too, but i don't know
where it comes from... it can hardly be a bug in the xsample objects.
I have included the help patch below... it works for me - i hope it helps
you, too

I have NOT tested xsample with the experimental 0.35-test* versions! It is
possible that it doesn't work, but i will install and test it within the
next few days.
