[PD] running 2 seperate PD's

heyall,

dunno if this has be aksed already...but is it possible to run two
seperate PD's on the same machine.

i can do this:
	"pd patch1.pd patch2.pd"

and it will do both patches.

but, my problem is i'd like to have one running all of the time (on a
server) and the other just part of the time.  

i try this:
	on one shell "pd patch1.pd"
	and on another "pd patch2.pd"

but fail with pd timeout


soundcard is sblive and should be able to open /dev/dsp 32 times
seperately and parallel.


any hints?  - august.
