[PD] could OSC support tcp?

thanks for all the feedback!

i was unclear when i said "realtime". i realize that there is a certain
amount of unavoidable netlag in WAN situation. so, i guess just being able
to synchronize patches over the net, and play around, with a minimum of
lag would be my goal.

i think LAN-jamming will be more fun, though. plus you get to see the look
on peoples faces when you make a weird noise...

i understand the OSC protocol and it's function (and i agree with ico,
finally an audio control protocol developers are widely supporting! open
source nerds, commercial software conglomerates, etc.. certainly a lot of
promise).. but it seems like a minor thing to replace the udp transport in
the pd OSC object with a tcp transport? i had developed a front-end
sequencer in wxWindows with it's nice built in tcp support, but i couldn't
get it to talk to PD because the pd OSC obj only accepts udp..

what's all this about vpn? using tcp through udp?
