This actually does look strange... on my machine it says:

#1 DefaultInput DefaultOutput
Name         = MOTU FireWire Audio
Max Inputs   = 10, Max Outputs = 10

Your Hammerfall reports to have just _one_ input channel! There must be
something wrong with your driver setup!? Do other applications work when
using the hammerfall?
