Technically they are not true standalones? Its like
saying that one can use the FlshMX to create
standalone flash movies. In the same way then one can
eaily produce a similar 'standalone' with Pd, just
make an installer that installs PD along with the
patch you want, include a shortcut to the file which
which can place itself on the desktop or whatever, and
open Pd upon double clicking it. Then you will have a
true Max "standalone"!
