You should first of all configure ALSA

If you want some background about alsa or see if your
soundcard is supported - which module and so on

There are RPMS for RedHat 8

Try this link and the Information around it !

If you have a fast Internet connection you should
maybe get the whole Planet CCRMA CD Images.

This might take some time at the beginning, but you
will save time in future
