Do you mean, that there should be two (or 3) packages: flext and
flext-synthesis or such? It certainly would be possible to build those
two packages, but as all the Debian packages are currently built in
one large step, the actual package building process on Debian
currently requires several libraries like libsndobj, libfluidsynth (my
fault), libogg and so on.

This is even harmless compared to some other packages (like Ardour...)
