Hi,

Unfortunately I can only answer some of your questions:
1) never start jack as root. The problem you had with jackstart were
caused by this. Its a bug in JACK. YOu have to reboot your machine to
fix that (Yes, this also happens with Linux :)

2) JACK support in the latest release is not very good,
because I didn't have the time to adapt it to the new media configuration
system in time. You have to use the CVS version.

3) You do not have to use -audiobuf 10. The latency is determined by your
JACK audio buffers, not my pd. (Shouldn't harm though ..)

Well, thats about it, further bugreports are highly appreciated.
