[PD] PDP or GEM linux DV CAM

hi,

nice that you want to join our efforts )

well, i can be a little more precise
about the tasks :

a/ it's already possible to get the dvcam input in pdp
by using Coriander and the vloopback module :
Coriander grabs the ieee1394 input and can write in a vloopback device,
pdp just sees this as a v4l input,
i guess it works but i can't test it because i don't have any dvcam
( nor a firewire interface ).

b/ it would be better if there was a native pdp object for dvcams,
for the same reasons as above, i won't be able to do it myself.
we will provide you all the help needed to get into
PDP development.

c/ i will be doing a Mac OSX capture object
as soon as i get an ibook
( some people will lend me one ).

d/ i will do the missing vloopback object in PDP
( the one that writes to vloopback ),
it is useful for different purposes.

e/ first, i must do a quicktime stream reader,
then the vloopback object.

welcome to pdp's crew,
sevy
