[PD] Was there a change in how MIDI is transmitted ????

Here's a conjecture... maybe the MIDI driver (or the OS) has suddenly
decided to start filtering the extra bytes out.  That would be bad, but
not the first bad thing I've seen a MSW driver and/or OS do...
