[PD] questions about plugins (audiounits, vst, ladspa) on mac

Questions regarding using PD as a plugin host on a Mac:

* what's the current status of PD's VST plugin support under PD for OSX? 
I have only been able to find the Windows vst~ externs and k_vst~ for
Linux.

* has anyone done any work on an AudioUnit hosting extern for PD, to
support AudioUnit plugins?

* is it at all possible to get LADSPA running on OS X?
