how to see the console in Pd for Linux (was Re: [PD] mask videos)

I guess you start pd from some menu or icon, you basically have 2 options:

open a terminal emulator (like xterm)
start pd from the command line there

find where the pd command is associated with the icon/menuitem and edit 
it to resemble something like:

xterm -T pd_console -e pd
