does this mean i will have 172 xv's ? which would
be enough if i could use it with pdp_xcanvas.

i opened the help for pdp_xcanvas and get the following output:

PDP: pure data packet
PDP: version 0.12.4
PDP: pdp_opengl extension library
PiDiP : additional video processing objects for PDP : version 0.12.18 ( 
ydegoyon at free.fr )

pdp_colorgrid: version 0.4, written by Yves Degoyon (ydegoyon at free.fr) & 
Lluis Gomez i Bigorda (lluis at artefacte.org)
with pd version 0.37.4

any idea? except this object, everything seems to work just fine..
