[PD] latency for RME Hdsp on Windows

Hi guys!
i'm trying to deal with latency in my winzoz system with hdsp rme multiface.
my latency settings are 128 or 256 samples block..and it works very well 
in Bidule and other software.
in the pd asio panel i can't set the latency lower than 18 ms....if i go 
16 ms i get bad crackles.
does it mean that my total output latency is 256 sample (around 5 ms at 
44100) plus those 18 ms?
is anyone with a similar setup able to go lower?
