[PD] instaqlling pd on win xp pro

hey all...i posted a question on the
puredata.antibling.org forum, but so far noone's
anwswered me, and i'm getting a little bit itchy.

i recently downloaded and installed pd on my xp pro
box, and when i try to run pd.exe, it thinks for a
moment, then seems to do nothing. however, pd.exe is
actually running in the process manager.  i'm hoping
someone has some insight as to how i might make pd a
little more accessible.  :)
