if you mean the human was generative aka 'recorded' patterns. i tend to use a rradical-esque approach (sideways-figure-8 abstractions) which append a timestamp and throw into a pool or PDContainer, for pattern playback the directory/namespace is dumped, timestamp peeled off and fed to the right inlet of [pipe] while the list is squished to a symbol and fed to the left.. this way you can trigger as many patterns as you want, with heterogenous structure and unlimited recursion/repetition with patterns triggering themselves..and no dealing with those confusing structs or using 'dyn' to get aroudn the fact that youd need to be creating and deleting hundreds of qlists at once...

if you mean generating patterns algorithmically theres a lot more options...[metro] is a starting point
