[PD] Tcl_LinkVar

first, excuse me is this question is not exaclty a pure pd question.

i read in the tcl documentation:
Tcl_LinkVar(interp, varName, addr, type)
Tcl_LinkVar uses variable traces to keep the Tcl variable named by 
varName in sync with the C variable at the address given by addr.

does it mean that instead of sending value via [netsend] to a tcl 
program, i can use a variable name to update the tcl part of my 
program?

for example, i'm using [line]. is it possible to show the line's result 
in a tcl label by using this method?
