[PD] compiling maxlib on Pd version 0.40-0test01

Hi list,

Just as a learning experience I am going through building pd from CVS on
a Ubuntu 5.10 box 

I hit a bit of a snag at maxlib. 

at the moment I actually only really need it so I can use minus in a
patch I am building. 

I get the following errors when I try to build it:
