[PD] how to set variable types

How's this?  Probably pretty inefficient way to do it, but it works.
The test inputs are for if you have a MIDI loop, where output comes
back as input to Pd.  Otherwise use whatever cc sending device you
normally use to check it.
I'm sure there's a simpler way... anyone?
ctlhouse.pd is the file to open.
