[PD] in Pd-0.39.2-extended-test7 msg 'reset' and 'clear' doesn?t work as before

hmmm, actually it doesn't seem to be that simple, see fb's earlier reply as
well as this msg posted on the dev list on 14 march.
looks like i spoke before my turn.
