true, but [pix_texture] is a "3d" (that is: openGL) operation and 
therefore hardware acceleration applies.

[pix_draw] is usually NOT done in hardware (at least on non SGI machines 
;-)), that is why [pix_texture]+[rectangle] is recommended.
