It would be very good to have you guys up to speed with this. To  
start with, follow this:

http://puredata.org/docs/developer/darwin

If you just want to get things building, start with the "rsync"  
rather than checking things out from CVS.  Then each time you hit a  
problem with the building, post the last few list of the build  
transcript to the pd-dev list.  Also, check the archives, many of  
these errors probably have been covered before.
