hi

according to the log, it seems the crash is due to your video codec

to get more information on what exactly is wrong you can :
- start pd from a terminal then see what is printing there
- start pd in a gdb session to get the exact code line that trig the crash

It is possible that an old lib have an issue and crash itself then Pd crash,
in that case, it's not a Gem problem, but a video decoding one
anyway you can :
- try another video codec
- upagrade ubuntu to upgrade video decoding lib and hope that it will fix
the issue
- use a more recent version of Gem and Pd

cheers
