[PD] small 2015 pc for pd?

Hello list,
I have a 2008 mac mini with a matrox box that I have been running some vj
pd patches on. I made the mistake of running three 720p quicktimes on it,
and it was painfully jerky. I need a new portable box. I think I will
switch to ubuntu.

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best bang for the buck in terms of
GPU power in a small format? I have been reading about these NUCs from
intel and something called the Brix from gigabyte. Or should I just get a
new mini?
