That line should be removed as it's been replaced by each menu item as a separate string. The reason why Pd can't start is that the strings in that list are used to call procedures ala pd_start_file, pd_start_edit, etc. Changing them means tcl errors early in the startup and nothing seems to happen. I figured this out the hard way too :)

Yes. I will check the Tcl to make sure it shouldn't appear in the translations. That might be an artifact to my earlier experiments.

Whichever works best for Miller, really. We've been working successfully by doing small feature Pos via Github as well. Since it's likely a small update, you could generate a patch and send to pd-list as well. I'm finding GitHub easiest for my workflow, but use whatever works for you :)
