[PD] externals naming conventions

Hi,

 does anybody have infos about naming conventions for different
formats of binary externals and their loading priority?

I'm aware of the following extensions:

Linux:

*.l_ia64 (64-bit)
*.l_i386 (32-bit)
*.pd_linux (indifferent of bitsize?)

OSX:

*.pd_darwin

Windows:

*.pd_windows

Are there any conventions for distinguishing 32-bit and 64-bit on OSX
and Windows? Is there a recommended way?
