This thread is not supposed to handle your particular issue but here we go.

there is no chance your machine can't handle the 0.54-0 C code. period.

you were able to run GDB-Pd[*] app which is the same C code but in this 
case pd.dll is much bigger in file size because it has the debug symbols.
